Urban Environmental Education in the Bronx

This participatory research project conducted in collaboration with community-based organizations in the Bronx is investigating changes in sense of place and social capital among youth participating in watershed restoration activities in the Bronx River watershed. Youth also measure ecosystem services produced from their activities. The results of the project will be used by community-based organizations in their efforts to enhance environmental restoration and stewardship and to reconnect urban residents with the environment through participation in restoration.
